A potty talk blog post. Enjoy.
So every night around 10pm we wake up Gage to use the bathroom. Usually he is pretty sleepy and doesn't remember doing this in the morning. And most of the time these 10pm dates with our eldest are pretty uneventful. But there are those handful of exceptions.
Like the time that Wade woke him up, took him in the bathroom and Gage stood up on the toilet rim to go to the bathroom. Yes, standing up on the rim on the toilet. I have no idea how he even did it!
A few times I have taken him he always turns towards the bathtub and I have to convince him that no, he really must aim towards the toilet.
Sometimes he tells us silly things and makes all kinds of comments in his sleep.
But I believe last night might be the best of all.
Wade woke up Gage and carried him to the bathroom. Then Gage started waving his hands in front of himself and over the seat as if he were "using the force" on the toilet. Wade kept telling him to wake up and go potty. But Gage kept insisting that he would. Then he would "use the force" with his hands again over the toilet bowl. I was in the other room, and all I could hear was Wade laughing so hard! I guess this went on for a couple of minutes. Wade got a hold of himself, and was able to get Gage to stop using the force on the toilet. And returned to bed. Luckily nothing blew up or floated away.
I wish I could have got a video!
But I never could have posted it on my blog.
The story is classic though.
